Bamboo Delight Summer Youth Camp 2024 (Minn) Myoh Minn Oo Executive Summary Bamboo Delight Summer Youth Camp is a three-month summer project in March, April and May every year where the youths and children aged 10-25 are recruited and provided Leadership trainings, 21 st Skills trainings and social sciences as well as intensive English proficiency classes, General Music class and Musical Instrument classes for their educational advancement and professional preparation. This year is the third year for the project since 2022. This year, 2024 is the most challenging year for us because of several challenges. The most horrifying challenge is the Myanmar military’s conscription law which forces youths aged 18 to 35 to serve for up to 2 years under the military command. We are intimidated by this mandatory notice. Story of "Eco-Warriors"

  A story published at Bamboo Delight Magazine (Minn) Myoh Minn Oo “ Eco-Warriors Nyaung Shwe ” was founded on 19th September on World Clean-Up Day in 2019. Although it was the date of founding the organization, Sue has been aware of environmental conservation and issues before this day so she by herself has been doing environmental protection activities and reducing the use of plastics at her home. Moreover, she loves the natural environment and after seeing the environment getting damaged because of the plastics waste, she thought about how she can help. Then she thought of doing it with an organization systematically because doing it alone would only clean my house and surroundings. Story of "Bamboo Delight Library"

    A story published at Bamboo Delight Magazine (Minn) Myoh Minn Oo Bamboo Delight library was opened together with Bamboo Delight Summer School in 2013. Founder Ma Pue Sue said “ I myself love books and am fond of reading so I have been gradually collecting books with the idea of opening a library later so that book-lovers like me can see and read many books in one place.” “Another thing about opening a library is that I want to promote the reading ability of the children because I couldn't finish my studies in school so I had to rely on reading the books. Also, reading books has advantaged me, my family and my environment with ideas different from others. It let me do things that others in my age couldn’t do and it promoted my mindset and conscience with the ability to decide what is right and wrong. Knowing the advantages of reading, I wanted to open a library, hoping that both the kids who love reading and those who don’t, could read at my library, so I opened my own one.” Bam

Story of "Bamboo Delight Summer School"

  A story published at Bamboo Delight Magazine (Minn) Myoh Minn Oo The Bamboo Delight Summer School project was started in 2013 together with Bamboo Delight Library.  Sue said, “I dreamed of opening this school. From the beginning, I wanted to share something knowledgeable to the kids who come to my home and do something for their happiness. I’ve had those ideas since 20 years ago when my parents were alive. After my parents passed away, I got a chance to start a business. When I thought of the name for the business, I told a foreigner to choose one concerning ‘bamboo’ as I am so crazy about bamboo. So she helped me chose the name ,‘Bamboo Delight’. It was a guest from France who chose this name for me.” “At first, I didn’t know the meaning of that name.
